Excellent location.Very helpful staff at all levels.I felt at home and well looked after.I was important and nothing was too much trouble for the hotel to organise for me.
The bathrooms are a bit small for a big person. But given the style of buildings in the area no great hardship and a good use of space.
Location close to many sightsseing attractions
The rooms are very small room and the prices quite high. Unfortunately I have mistaken this hotel with "Ayasofya Pensions", which I know from an earlier stay in Istanbul.
Ayasofya Hotel has two room suites, one on the ground floor and a second one on the top floor suitable for 4 guests , 2 guests sharing a sofa bed. We spent the three last nights in the last floor suite that has a private terrace quite large with a very good view on the Bosphorus !!!! and some sun . . . a very large bathroom with a bath and a shower. Very suitable for a family of 4 . We asked to be move to the top floor after the first night and by chance it was possible and agreed without too much discussion with the hotel management. Hotel location is great, 5 minutes walk to the blue mosque.
The ground floor suite is very dark, no view at all and quite cramped despite having in fact two bedrooms. The breakfast is not impressive especially the fact that even if it is included within the hotel rate you have to pay extra for Turkish coffee, or for fresh orange juice.
We stayed only one night in Ayasofya but wished we could stay longer as the area was really interesting and so close to everything, It was like staying in a home rather than a cold hotel.
We really enjoyed our stay at Ayasofya Hotel. The location was ideal for exploring all the sites and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
I loved the suite room. It had a view of the Marmara Sea and was very private. The staff provided excellent service and the hotel was located in an interesting area.
It's a very quiet location n the room us very clean and fresh all the time
The room that we got is too small but at the end of the day we only use the room for sleeping cos we were out the whole time.
I liked the Ayasofya Hote because of the location and because the hotel was clean and well organised. The staff were helpful with local information and the hotel has a nice feel to it.
The position was very good. It was easy to walk to the area of the Blue mosque etc. and tram lines.
The rooms we had were tiny. Apparently there are 2 parts to this hotel and there are better rooms but we didn't know about that. Noise travels easily in this hotel so difficult to sleep. Mosque nearby with early wake up call so couldn't sleep in either. We could hear our neighbours conversations through the bathroom if the bathroom doors were open so it's not very private.
Great location to see sites of Istanbul.
Room was a bit small and needs some work
Good hotel at an excellent location in Istanbul with pleasant staff
located very close to places of interest and to tramway, all contributed to a very enjoable stay.
Put into a tiny room on ground floor for the first night but we were moved nerxt day, before complaining.Hotel is situated at the bottom of a steep hill so can be exausting on a hot day !
I really liked the location of the Hotel -it is in a great local area but close to everthing. The room was small but very comfortable and clean and the atmosphere in the hotel is very friendly and helpful. Also the terrace was very relaxing at the end of the day for a nice cold beer.
Located in the Sultanahmet district of Istanbul, this lovely hotel really has it all. Within walking distance of many major tourist attractions including the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar, you couldn't pick a better place to base your exploration of Istanbul. Along with clean and heated rooms, the staff were extremely friendly and spoke much better English than my rudimentary Turkish and they were able to direct us to all of the afore mentioned tourist hot spots and many more.
The location of the hotel was excellent close to all the historic sites of Istanbul. The staff were incredibly helpful at all times and the room was clean and very light and airy.
